HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS CHICKEN SHAMI KEBAB

Ingredients

  •  6-7 garlic pods
  •  Ginger
  •  4-5 red chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera,zeera)
  •  1tsp coriander seeds (sooka dhania)
  •  2 tsp salt
  •  1 tsp red chilli powder
  •  ½ tsp turmeric powder
  •  1 tsp whole spice powder (garam masala)
  •  1 large potato
  •  750 grams boneless chicken
  •  1 cup split chickpeas (daal channa)
  •  1 onion (sliced)
  •  Mint leaves
  •  1 cup coriander leaves
  •  3 green chillies
  •  2 eggs

Recipe

  • Soak the daal chana in water for 1 hour
  •  Take a pot and add chana daal and chicken into it.
  • Add 1 cup water also add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala powder, garlic, ginger, red chillies, coriander, zeera, sliced potato
  •  Stir to mix these ingredients well
  • Cover the pot with lid
  •  Cook at medium-high flame till the meat and potato becomes tender it will take roughly about 20 minutes
  •  Now take out the chicken from pot
  • Cook rest of the mixture at high flame till the water evaporates and the channa daal becomes tender
  •  Now shred the chicken into small pieces
  •  Grind the shred chicken in mortar pestle in small pieces and then cover it and place aside
  •  Now uncover the lid of the pot and stir the mixture of daal and spices
  • Turn off the stove and cool the mixture
  •  Now grind this mixture in electric grinder along with sliced onion and green coriander.
  •  Add the shred chicken in ground mixture and mix well
  •  Now take the round shaped dyes or bottle caps of suitable size and a plastic sheet
  •  Place sheet in cap add small amount of mixture for shami kebab mould into shape you can also do it with hands
  •  Now take the eggs and whip them well
  •  Dip the Shami kebabs in the whipped eggs before frying
  •  Heat the oil in pan and add shami kebab into it for frying
  •  Fry at medium-high flame till one side gets properly cooked
  •  turn upside down them over to cook the other side as well
  •  Similarly fry all kebabs

You can make about 25-26 medium-sized kebabs with this recipe.
Take them out and enjoy with sauce!
